Microbial / Meta Sequencing
Metagenomic Sequencing
Metagenomics is a subject studying microbial floras from environmental samples as a whole microbial community. And metagenomic sequencing is to analyze microbial community diversity, gene composition and gene function as well as metabolic pathways interrelated with specific environment by high-throughput sequencing on microbial DNA samples.
Metatranscriptome Sequencing
Metatranscriptome sequencing is to discover the dynamic structure and function of microbial community within samples by high-throughput sequencing and assembling the microbial community transcripts. It reveals diversity of gene expression in microorganisms under different environmental conditions, and is useful for studying the interaction between the microbial community and the environment.
16S/18S/ITS sequencing
Amplicon sequencing refers to perform sequencing on captured fragment or PCR product with particular length, including 16S rDNA sequencing, 18S rDNA sequencing, ITS sequencing, and amplicon sequencing of targeted region. The sequence of 16S/18S/ITS hypervariable region is to reveal the microbial differences in environmental samples, playing an important guiding role in the study of microorganism structure for ocean, soil, intestinal and other environment.
Bacterial/Fungal DNA sequencing
With the rapid development of next-generation sequencing technologies, whole genome sequencing has become an important tool for studying the genome of bacterial / fungal single species. The high-throughput sequencing technology has significantly reduced bacterial / fungal genome research costs and shorten the research cycle, facilitating genome study for more and more labs.
