It is applied to all kinds of animals and plants. For human genome project, Human whole genome sequencing and exome sequencing are widely used in human medical researches.
Epigenetics
DNA methylation alters gene expression in cells, which plays an important role in the development of cancer, neurodegenerative diseases and neurological diseases. There are 3 research methods to study DNA methylation: WGBS, RRBS, MeDIP-Seq. To study histone modification, ChIP-Seq is widely used.
